Difficulties of Studying Medical Degree Malaysia

The path to becoming a health care worker is known for being less of a path and more of a long, hard journey with a lot of problems along the way. If you want to get a medical degree in Malaysia, you do so at your own risk. Unfortunately, the fact that being a doctor has a lot of benefits doesn’t make it easier to get through medical degree Malaysia. If you want to know why it’s so hard to become a doctor and why most people advise against it, here are some big reasons.

So Much Needs To Be Learned And Mastered

    medical degree malaysia

The lives of their patients are literally in the hands of the people who work in health care. So, they have to know everything there is to know. If they do just one thing wrong or forget just one thing, the results would be terrible. People could die. So, while in medical school, these people who want to become doctors must work hard and study often. So many different classes focus on the smallest details of our biology, medicine, technology, and so much more. Not only do they have to read every book cover to cover, but they also have to understand what they have read. Biochemistry, neurology, anatomy, behavioural science, and medical ethics are all things that people who want to become doctors need to know. Not to mention that the students will have to pass board exams in order to graduate from medical school.

You Have To Give Up Things

Did you know that 10% of people who start medical degree Malaysia drop out? Even though most medical students finish their degrees and become doctors, there is still a big chance that they won’t. Researchers found that one reason these students drop out is that they have to give up so much. Even though college can be fun, most medical students don’t find it that way. If you get a medical degree, you won’t have any friends anymore. Because you have to study so much, you don’t even have time to hang out with family and friends or enjoy the nightlife or other forms of entertainment. To get things done, you might even have to miss important events like your mother’s birthday or your sister’s graduation. Students find it very sad to have to make these sacrifices.

    The Difficulties Of Real-World Experience

    medical degree malaysia

There is more to medical school than just learning theories and passing tests. In the third year of a medical degree programme, students usually start to work with real patients. This is what medical school students call the start of the clinical part of their education. These students will have rotation schedules so they can work in many different areas of medicine, like surgery, paediatrics, radiology, and more. There are a lot of different challenges that come with this new hands-on training. Some students get depressed when they realise they are better at theory than in the real world. Others can’t handle the stress of working with patients and getting orders from their bosses to do a hundred different things every day. So it’s not surprising that clinical is thought to be one of the hardest parts of medical school.

There’s no way to make it sound better. Getting a medical degree Malaysia is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do, and that’s not even counting the problems you’ll face after you graduate and start working as a doctor. But there is a bright side to every cloud. If you think about the good things more than the bad things, you will get through it!

  • Tips For Safe Medications And Storage

Tips For Safe Medications And Storage

As you study medicine, there is no doubt that you are aware of their dangers and the consequences of being affected by them, intentionally or otherwise. Even if you aren’t a medical student, you should already know that medicines aren’t something to toy with, especially by children.

So you have a bunch of medicine in your house for emergencies. Fantastic, you have come prepared. But you must make sure that they and yourself are in safe conditions. This will also spare the headache of doctors from treating a buffoon that accidentally overdosed with his sleeping pills.

    Know Your Meds

You have the Internet in your hands. That or a doctor’s prescription can be the source of your knowledge of certain medicines. Know their names, appearances, the ailments they can treat, and side effects. It is also absolutely vital to know the dosage based on doctors or labeled instructions.

Speaking of labels, do that to your medicines, separating them by name and category. You don’t have to be extra meticulous, just label enough to tell each medicine apart. Their appearances, packaging and brand names may do half the job. Consult your doctor on what to do if you miss a dose, and know if you are allergic to some medicines too.

    Stay Away From Children

    study medicine

Children are generally too young to know the dangers of carelessly taking medicines like they are Halloween candy. For this reason, you must store your medicine away from children.

If you have a cupboard, store them in a high shelf where they can’t reach. At the same time, don’t store them any further since you will need to reach them easily in emergencies.

If you have locks for your cupboard, use it to lock away your medicines from children, though if you still need access, this may not be necessary. You could hide the pile by placing other miscellaneous items in front of them. If you have a safebox or similar, this is even better. Store them all inside it and hide the key from your children.

Keep their hands out of reach after you feed them medicine too. If you plan to teach them about it, be sure to not leave out the dangers, and still do not let them handle medicines by themselves. For their sake, only you have the authority for the time being.

Also never call medicines “sweets” or any other appealing terms to children as they will be confused and may try them if you are not only looking, but your meds are at their reach too.

    Safe Disposals

Some medicines need special care in disposing of them when they are no longer in use. There may be labels you can read to see if there are instructions on safely disposing them, whether they are aged or there are unused extras. Powerful drugs like opioids are an example of a medicine that must be disposed of with care.

If you want, you can go to a pharmacy, clinic, hospital or any health-related centers and ask if they accept old medicines for safe disposal. If you fear that you might be wasting time going there only to be told “no”, call them first to confirm.

  • Why We Must Have Doctor In The Family

Why We Must Have Doctor In The Family

It seems that the presence of family doctors in our country has not been noticed by many people. In fact, his presence is quite important to deal with all medical problems of family members. Can you go straight to the hospital or health center? That’s true, but the role of the family doctor is not limited to that. According to the book Healthy is Cheap by dr. Handrawan Nadesul, the health care system in our country is not yet in favor of patients and the average health system of our society is not yet solid, so it is often wrong to determine the address for treatment.

In addition, our health services also have two routes, namely the “fast track” for patients who can afford it and the “slow track” service for the poor. Well, in this “slow lane” service the “referral system” rule applies. This means that medical services are tiered from the simplest to more complete health facilities, such as hospitals. That’s why one of our family members has to become a doctor, for that let’s apply for science foundation programme in Malaysia.

Dr. Handrawan asserted that “fast track” is a distinct matter. However, patients may choose “fast track” medical services based on their needs. When you have the flu, for instance, you can select a specialist right away. However, there are some rules that must be followed. Due to the fact that you enter the medical field with all of its undesirable practices, this “fast track” medical service, Overlapping exams, dehumanizing services, and polypharmacy are a few examples (overprescribing of drugs). Such things are a part of the flurry of activity in the medical sector among the wealthy.

Why have a doctor in the family?

    ·        Get to Know Closer

This family doctor will certainly know very well the medical conditions of all family members he treats. In fact, complete with medical records since birth. In short, whatever the medical problems faced by family members, the family doctor is the place to ask questions and seek treatment. Because family doctors already know each member of their regular family, it is guaranteed that every family member will always be safe in treatment. The reason is that it is impossible for a family doctor who is very familiar with the family members he treats will harm them, compared to seeing a doctor late, as is often the case nowadays.

Family doctors can also minimize the risk of the dangers of not taking the medicine, giving the wrong medicine, or failing to diagnose. In addition, family doctors will not immediately give “hard” drugs, in contrast to doctors who pass by. Because, family doctors will continue to monitor the condition of family members. In short, if you don’t really need medicine, the doctor will not prescribe it.

    ·        Keep away from malpractice

Another family doctor, another passing doctor. Doctors usually think that people who treat him will not come back in a day or two. Therefore, generally they immediately give “hard” drugs so that they can immediately heal. It’s like killing flies with a gun.

Meanwhile, family doctors are not like that. In addition to not directly giving “hard” drugs and routinely monitoring the condition of the family members they treat, they will also refer to the most appropriate treatment address. For example, to colleagues who have been very well known, so that medical communication for the best cure can be established.

What you need to know, without a family doctor, someone might have the wrong address for treatment. In fact, the address for treatment will determine the success rate of healing the disease to the costs incurred.

  • Newborn Baby Care

    Newborn Baby Care

Humans are the most vulnerable when they are infants. When they are first born is when parents need to pay extra attention to their children. This is called the neonatal phase. The neonatal phase, which is known as the first 28 days of life, is critical for a child’s survival since it has the highest chance of death per day of any other time of childhood. The first month of life is also a critical time for establishing a foundation for long-term health and growth. Healthy newborns develop into healthy individuals who can flourish in their communities and contribute to society. This all the more makes it important that we need to care for our children.

    buy baby safe trainer cups

Here are a few primary reasons why baby care is important:

    To identify abnormalities and problems

When children first come out of the womb they will have to adapt to a new change of environment. Going from being in their mother’s womb for nine months to breathing in the fresh air for the first time, it comes as no surprise when some infants experience respiratory problems. This is precisely why nurses and doctors immediately check for respiratory problems and anomalies to ensure the child can breathe properly on their own without needing external help.

Should children experience any problems, doctors are immediately alerted so that the necessary care can be provided for the infants. And just a reminder, even if your child passes the first 48 hours safely, parents should remain vigilant about their children’s condition for the next 28 days just to be safe.

To ensure the child has a healthy central nervous system

Doctors usually check on the child’s strength and reflexes to ensure that they have a healthy central nervous system. This is done to ensure that the child has a symmetric response to the tests carried out. Should the child respond asymmetrically, they would need to carry out tests to see if the child has experienced any trauma during the pregnancy or birthing process. This is essential as trauma could potentially cause fractures, paralysis or even damage to the nerves.

To determine the gestational maturity of infants

Another primary reason why baby care is vital is to determine the gestational maturity of infants. Gestational maturity refers to the maturity of the child’s organs. This is crucial since if the infants’ organs are not developed properly, the child could experience severe problems. The type of problems experienced by the child would be determined by which organ was not developed properly. This is a tricky business and infants who do not pass the gestational maturity evaluation could be subjected to severe complications. At certain times, even if the child passes through this stage, they could potentially experience problems even after their infant stage.
